09 Feb Magirus delivers 42 turntable ladders
Magirus Italia has delivered 42 articulated turntable ladders to the Italian Ministry of the Interior.
The units are based on Iveco or Magirus chassis. Magirus’ modern turntable ladders give firefighters maximum flexibility and safety along with consistent reliability. The orders includes three types of turntable ladders, each equipped with state-of-the-art features. These include the Magirus Single Extension technology with articulated ladder-set; an RC500 rescue cage with a capacity of 500kg; a stretcher support device; the Magirus SafetyPeak anchor device for protection and rescue of two people); a generator with start/stop system from the main stand; an electrically adjustable water/foam monitor in the front of the cage; self protection nozzles; Magirus EdgeLight safety lighting; plus a video and thermal camera in the rescue cage.
The delivery is part of one of the country’s largest orders, with a total of 50 being ordered. Italy is committed to using state-of-the-art technology for its firefighting forces.
