23 Feb Blaze kills 4 siblings after fire erupts in house during the night
A fire which started shortly after midnight took the lives of four children of the same family, a relative disclosed.
The blaze took hold of a house in southwestern Saudi Arabia, which led to the father carrying his five daughters and wife to safety.
However, it was confirmed by reports that three boys died at the site and a fourth passed away later at the hospital.
According to a cousin of the family, the fire erupted shortly after the family went to sleep.
Sabq quoted the cousin Ali bin Mohammed as saying at the time: “As soon as my cousin and his family comprising four boys and five girls went to sleep in their house, he was awakened by the fire in the room of the four boys.”
The cause of the fire is not yet known; however, investigations are underway.
