Advanced has delivered a range of fire and life safety solutions to protect 26,000m of office space housed across four seven-storey buildings at the Dubai Hills Estate Business Park.
The solutions deployed include EN 54-approved Axis EN fire panels with integrated voice evacuation and fire telephone systems. The system has five four-loop panels, two dual-loop and four single loop panels as well as a repeater and has been designed so that new tenants can easily add more panels and devices to the network, should they require them.
One thousand detectors are spread across the four blocks which are connected to the Axis-EN system, and the site’s graphical mapping system – which itself connects directly to the Dubai Civil Defence for monitoring.
The installation was handled by Cignetix Systems, who took on the role of installing, testing and commissioning the system. Sunil Kumar Gopalkrishnan, Managing Director at the company commented: “Cignetix has worked with Advanced’s solutions for many years now, and we were entirely confident that its fire system could deliver the levels of performance and functionality required to offer a high level of protection across this prestigious site.
“We programmed a two-stage positive alarm sequence to support the site’s false alarm management strategy. We also integrated the fire system with a range of third party systems including access control lifts, air handling units and smoke control in order to make it easier for end users to monitor and control the system on a day-to-day basis.”
Advanced has previously been selected to protect prestigious buildings from fire risks – including the Marassi Al Bahrain Resort, an ultra-luxe mall, hotel and serviced apartments development.
