Abu Dhabi police and emergency services work to control fire after two vehicle collision

Emergency services in Abu Dhabi have attended a fire at the scene of a traffic collision this morning.

Speaking on social media, Abu Dhabi Police have said they are working towards contorlling the sistuation with the help of Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority. The police force tweeted: “Abu Dhabi Police and Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority teams are responding to a traffic collision between a truck and a car this morning on Sweihan Road, just before Al Shamkha Bridge, in Abu Dhabi City.”

They added: “The incident caused the two vehicles to catch fire.”

No further details have been provided on injuries or fatalities at the crash, but police have urged residents to rely on verified news about the incident. They said: “Authorities are working to extinguish the fire and urge the public to only obtain information from official sources.”
