24 Jul Warehouse fire
A fire in a warehouse in the As Salaha area of Barka in Oman took more than eight hours to be put under control.
That was because the building was used to store woods and plastic which caused a fierce blaze and heavy material losses, but no casualties were reported.
However firefighters the battling to control the blaze were put under greater pressure because it was feared it could spread to a nearby petrol filling station.
