24 Jun The first hybrid fire engine is nearly ready to hit the production line
About 5 years ago Rosenbauer started to develop the first hybrid fire engine. Rosenbauer is now on to the testing phase of the compete vehicle. Due to the vehicle being a technical prototype the name needed to change from a Concept Fire Truck (CFT) to a name that was independent to the specific vehicle. The hybrid fire engine is to be classed as Revolutionary Technology (RT) which reiterates the unique specializations and revolution of change. The advances in technology are believed to be ground-breaking for the future of fire engines. The original hybrid fire engine will remain at Rosenbauer as a test model however the next three fire engines will be handed over to Rosenbauer’s partners after testing.
