13 Sep Strengthening reporting and response times
A new joint electronic platform has been set up in Wasit police station to strengthen the cooperation and emergency response times of Sharjah Police and the Sharjah Civil defence.
The platform will receive reports of crime incidents and fire accidents and will also manage the visuals received through advanced surveillance cameras installed in various parts of the emirate.The advanced equipment will help both forces in their decision making at the time of an emergency.
Colonel Sami Khamis Al Naqbi, Director-General of the Sharjah Civil Defence, said that the launch of the joint operation platform will help avoiding duplication of communications and reducing response time.
While Brigadier-General Abdullah Mubarak bin Amer, deputy commander-in-chief of the Sharjah Police, added: ” It will also contribute to achieve the strategic goals of the “Sharjah is a Safe City” campaign, keeping pace with future challenges in various aspects.”
