Streamlight Inc. launches new multi-function flashlight

Streamlight Inc has launched its Vantage 180 X USB rechargeable system, a multi-function light that is both compact and versatile for firefighters battling smoky and low-light environments.

The light can be mounted to full-brim fire helmets or used as a handheld or right-angle light. It features a quick-release helmet bracket so it can swiftly be removed from helmets and used as a handheld device or hooked to turnout gear.

Flexible battery options mean firefighters can charge the SL-B26 lithium ion battery via the USB port for a rechargeable solutions, or use disposable cell batteries when necessary.

The main beam can deliver up to 250 lumens, 7,200 candela peak beam intensity and with a 170-metre beam distance when used on the highest setting. A 180-degree rotating head will automatically change between an ultra-bright blue safety taillight and a white safety flood down light when set to a 90-degree angle.

Run time varies depending on the battery source and light mode but is between four hours and 15 hours. It is also ultra-durable as it’s made from a chemically resistant engineered polymer and has been resistance-tested at one metre impact. The IPX7-rated design can be used at depths of one meter for up to 30 minutes.
