Project Qatar to showcase 150 exhibitors from security and fire safety sectors

Project Qatar is returning in June for its 18th event, to showcase the latest in the construction and building industries including fire safety and security.

The event is under the patronage of HE Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of The State of Qatar Khalid Bin Khalifa Bin Abdulaziz Al Thani.

At Project Qatar, which is being held from the 6th-9th June, leading brands from around the world can connect to industry professionals and high-ranking decision makers in Qatar, making way for solid partnerships and agreements.

The event has over 150 exhibitors ready for the event in June, and will occupy 16,000 square metres of exhibition space as it expects to welcome 14,900 visitors. Exhibitors already signed up to the extensive event include Qatar’s Alpha Fire Services, Iran’s Gilan Mica and Germany’s AUDAX-Keck GmbH.

The event is being held ahead of the country playing host to the World Cup 2022 later this year. Qatar is expecting to see huge numbers of visitors arriving in the country to attend the global sporting event. With the Qatar National Vision 2030 and the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 expecting to be major growth drivers for Qatar’s construction industry, it’s also brought fire safety and regulation into the spotlight too. The ongoing implementation of major development projects across various sectors (building, hospitality, tourism, transportation, infrastructure, etc.) adheres to the Qatar National Vision (QNV 2030) and aims at creating conducive conditions for more private-public participation. Beyond the 2020 budget, the country’s projects pipeline has over 1000 planned developments worth USD 150 Bn (QR 546 Bn) that have yet to be awarded. About USD 80 Bn (QR 291 Bn) of this is destined for new projects in the construction sector, with planned infrastructure projects accounting for a large portion of overall investment.
