NFPA and Saudi Arabia HCIS collaborate for webinar

NFPA and Saudi Arabia HCIS collaborate for webinar

The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) is working in collaboration with the Saudi Arabian High Commission for Industrial Security (HCIS) to host a webinar on the HSIC Licensing Requirements. Taking place on September 8th at 7am, all fire protection contractors and consultants who fall under the jurisdiction of HCIS license renewal requirements are encouraged to sign up to attend for the one-hour informational webinar.

As of August this year, NFPA trainings and certifications are now required by HCIS for fire protection contractors and consultants who are seeking license renewals.

“NFPA and HCIS are adamant about raising the fire protection design and implementation quality in Saudi Arabia’s industrial sectors,” said Anas A. Alzaid, Middle East and Northern Africa Director for NFPA.

“This will be done through ensuring engineering offices and contractors’ staff are versatile in fire prevention codes and standards. By mandating NFPA codes and standards trainings and certifications, HCIS can proactively protect Saudi Arabia’s industrial infrastructure. Our objective during the informational webinar is to help those working in engineering and contracting to understand the process of training, certifications, and eventually licensing to meet HCIS expectations,” he continued.

The webinar will include in-depth information with a panel of global industry experts and will cover a range of topics including the importance of consulting and contracting compliance; NFPA training and certification that fulfils requirements; and the costly mistakes that inspired the new HCIS requirements.
