New office in Germany

Ballyclare, the Stockport-based English manufacturer of high visibility fire, safety and foul weather clothing supplied to the fire police, ambulance, rail and power industries, has expanded  its European operation by opening an office in Germany.

And, during a visit to their production facility by their local member of Parliament Ann Coffey they explained how they are also adapting to the way their customers are changing the way they source their garments.

Ballyclare’s UK managing director Carlton Green said:  “Ann hadn’t been to Ballyclare before so we were delighted to introduce her to the business and the products we supply.

“The markets are very competitive and we explained to Ann that a number of customers have recently subcontracted much of their clothing procurement activities to third parties and this is beginning to have a significant impact on the way business is transacted.”

However, he is hoping that the German operation will help the company expand. He said “This open up a huge new audience for us, and it will allow us to provide those customers with the same level of high quality products and service that are rapidly becoming recognised as Ballyclare hallmarks.”
