06 Apr New fire research centre for Dubai
The Dubai Civil Defence has announced plans to launch a new centre for studies and research this year which will analyse fire accidents and develop new fire safety techniques.
After eight years in preparation, the centre will be headed by trained staff who earned their postgraduate degrees from Europe and Malaysia, to implement their different international experiences in the UA
Civil Defence Director Major-General Rashid Thani Al Matrooshi, Director-General of the UAE Civil Defence, said : “The centre will study everything related to the core business of civil defence and analyse our methodologies and strategies thoroughly.
“We are at a point that goes well beyond controlling accidents, preparing codes or guidelines. We are now working to elevate our work in civil defence and rescue.”
