Polypipe Middle East has launched a brand new high-performing drainage system to the Middle East market which also brings enhanced fire retardancy benefits.
The Terrain Q is a polypropylene drainage system which is easy to install and incorporates multi-layer technology. The blue external layer is made from PP+UV+RF and provides resistance to attack from UV radiation, fire damage and impact damage. The black intermediate layer is a mineral-reinforced plastic boasting noise insulation and fire resistance. The final white internal layer is made from PP+AF and delivers high chemical and abrasion resistance plus resistance to high temperature waste.
The solution can be used for both commercial and residential high- and low-rise buildings. Adam Smith, Managing Director of Polypipe Middle East said: “In today’s built environment, fire safety and the environment in which we live, work and play are of utmost importance. It is essential that we develop new products with this idea in mind. Here at Polypipe Middle East, we are pleased to be launching a product that not only reduces noise but also has a good fire classification rating, contributing to better fire safety in the building envelop and helping to improve the lives of people in the building for years to come.”
The Terrain Q has been tested and certified to EN 13501 ‘Fire classification of construction products and design types’.
