09 Aug Navy ship sinks
The IRIS Kharg, an oil replenishment ship in the Iranian Navy has sunk in the Gulf of Oman, following a devastating fire which started during a training exercise.
Firefighters tackled the blaze for over 20 hours but were unable to save the vessel. The crew were all evacuated safely with no casualties reported.
