17 Oct Massive wildfire in Lebanon
Three neighbouring governments answered an appeal for help as the Chouf and Metri regions of Lebanon were hit by a series of massive wildfires described by Civil Defence director Raymond Khattar as the ‘worst to have hit the country in decades.’
Cyprus , Italy and Greece dispatches several fire fighting aircraft after learning that Lebanon’s own fleet of three Sikorsky S-70 model helicopters, which were obtained in 2009, had fallen into disrepair.
