Magirus confirms it will not participate in Interschutz 2022

Magirus has announced that it will not be participating in Interschutz 2022, instead focusing on a dedicated product roadshow.

The firefighting technology brand has been focusing its efforts on the development of its Next Generation Firefighting portfolio, after the global pandemic depressed the market. In addition the current war in Ukraine has further impacted on the firefighting industry – through supply issues, logistics challenges and a significant cost increase accelerating. Combined, these issues have led to Magirus to take the decisive step to focus on its core activities: developing the best firefighting products and services.

Instead the company intends to conduct an innovative roadshow marketing its entire product portfolio, as well as participate at the September IAA Transportation event in Hannover and an in-house Magirus fair later in the year.

In light of the ongoing crisis in Ukraine, Magirus has allocated part of the planned investment for Interschutz to investment to charitable initiatives supporting firefighters in the Ukrainian conflict including the German Fire Services Association’s initiative. It has already donated two turntable ladders to firefighters in Ukraine.
