29 Apr Luxury hotel in Dubai forced to evacuate after fire
Guests at a luxury Dubai hotel have been forced to evacuate after a fire broke out on Wednesday 27th April.
Several engines and police cars attended the scene at the five-star Swissôtel Al Murooj hotel in downtown Dubai as dozens of people huddled outside. No injuries were reported and investigations remain open into the cause of the fire.
The fire was extinguished within an hour, before guests were allowed back into the hotel.
This fire is one os a series that has happened in tall buildings in Dubai, with attention focusing on the safety of cladding and fire protection measures.
