Large fire at motor engine oil factory in central Iran injures 15

A large fire at a motor oil factory in Iran has injured 15 people, with three needing to be taken to hospital.

The blaze which broke out in Isfahan’s Mobarakeh industrial town in central Iran on Sunday was brought under control by authorities.

Mansour Shisheforoush, head of Isfahan province’s crisis-management body told state TV, that 95% of the fire had been extinguished and a team was already clearing the site. Adjacent industrial units have not been affected by the fire.
Shisheforoush added that 15 workers were injured, but only three needed hospital medical attention.

Specialist teams are currently investigating the cause of the fire.
