Kuwait Fire Force Chief In Qatar Ahead Of World Cup Preparations

Kuwait’s Fire Force (KFF) chief Lieutenant General Khaled Al-Mekrad has been working with Qatar authorities in preparation for the FIFA World Cup 2022.

The Kuwaiti fire force are participating in the security plans for Qatar’s FIFA 2022 World Cup Finals, including precautions against fire.

Al-Mekrad, on behalf and directions of First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Talal Khaled Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, urged the force to be up to the responsibility in the mission entrusted to them and to be executed in cooperation with the Qatari Civil Defense.

The fire squad consists of 155 officers and non-commissioned officers, tasked to secure stadiums, hotels, fans as well, tourist places and headquarters of the participating teams.

The farewell ceremony was attended by the Deputy Head of the Combat Sector, Major General Jamal Badr Nasser and Assistant Commander of the Air Force, Major-General Pilot Bandar Al-Muzain
