17 Oct Gas explosion on dhow
A big clean up operation was ordered after a dhow carrying 50 tonnes of cargo caught fire in Dubai Creek.
A gas cylinder explosion was reported to have start the fire on the Dhow which loaded with electrical equipment and food items.
A section of the Creek area was cordoned off as Dubai Municipality Civil Defence teams cooled off the remains of the Dhow and sea-scrapers began clearing operations. Twenty three tonnes of waste were recovered.
