10 Sep Fire rages across agricultural land in Syria
Fires have devoured large amounts of agricultural land in western Syria this week. Videos of the fire have gone viral on social media.
Civil defence units belonging to the Assad regime and fire brigades have been battling the flames which have spread fast as a result of high winds. The mountainous terrain has made tackling the flames more complicated and so firefighting planes have been dropping 40 tonnes of water to try and help the fires.
Officials are unsure as to how much land has been damaged.
