Emirates Fire Safety Laboratory launched by Dubai Civil Defense

Colonel Expert Ali Hassan Al Mutawa, Assistant Director General for Protection and Safety at the Dubai Civil Defence, explained the authority’s plans for Intersec 2019: “The Dubai Civil Defence has been providing a number of solutions and innovations in the field of safety and fire protection, which has led to increased efficiency and effectiveness of services provided in the fire and rescue operations,” said Al Mutawa.

“At the 21st edition of Intersec, we’ll present the Emirates Fire Safety Laboratory, the first of its kind in the Middle East, through which we plan to raise the level of safety and the quality of fire safety systems through the services we provide.

“The services to be delivered by the laboratory will include fire systems testing, inspection and certification using the most sophisticated technologies and devices.  The laboratory will also monitor and verify technical stipulations required in accordance with international standard measures, whilst issuing internationally accredited safety certifications.”
