Dubai firefighters bring residential building fire under control within 14 minutes

Dubai firefighters fought a blaze at a residential building and controlled the flames within 14 minutes, and have reported no injuries or fatalities as a result.

A fire broke out on a medium-rise residential building in Al Barsha 1 in Dubai on March 11th. Civil Defence firefighters arrived at the scene and were able to put out the blaze quickly and efficiently.

The Command Room of Dubai Civil Defence received the emergency call at 1.24pm and firefighters from the Al Barsha Fire Station arrived at the spot within just four minutes after receiving the call. As extra support, firefighters from Al Marsa and Nad Al Shiba Fire Stations were also dispatched as back-up. In a statement, an official said: “Our teams evacuated the building and controlled the fire within 14 minutes without any injuries or deaths.”

Whilst there were no injuries or deaths, the building remains damaged and residents are being assisted in finding temporary accommodation. Investigations are currently ongoing to determine the cause of the fire.
