15 Nov Dubai Festival City Mall evacuated as fire breaks out
A shopping hotspot in Dubai was evacuated after a fire broke out needing urgent emergency attention. The Dubai Festival City Mall saw a blaze begin in its operations room at 7.28pm. Firefighters arrived at the scene in six minutes and set to work on combatting the fire that raged from one side of the mall.
According to the Dubai Civil Defence, all shoppers and visitors were evacuated and the fire was swiftly brought under control by 7.42pm with cooling operations contining until 8.09pm.
The site is now being investigated by authorities.
