Dubai Civil Defence controls fire in 14-storey residential tower

The Dubai Civil Defence has controlled a blaze that broke out in a 14-storey residential tower in the Al Nahda area of Dubai.

No casualties have been reported, with official sources confirming the fire was controlled quickly and efficiently.

The operations room of the Dubai Civil Defence received a report at 2:46 pm on Saturday 1st October. Al Qusais Fire Station dispatched a firefighting squad, which reached the location in five minutes.

The fire was classed as medium within the 14-storey building and was fought by two teams on the ground from Al Rashidiya and Port Said stations. By 3:51 pm, the accident commander at the scene confirmed that the accident was under control and at 4:23 pm it was reported that the cooling process was on with no injuries.
