15 Jun Dramatic chemical fire

The sky above the City of Yichang in central China’s Hubei Province was engulfed by black smoke after a fire broke out in large chemical factory.

Dramatic images showed clouds of smoke and uncontrollable flames which witnesses said could be seen from miles away.

It took dozens of firefighters nearly a day to bring the blaze under control at the factory which is owned by the Yuchang Zhongxing Chemical company.

And while many people had to be evacuated from the factory and the area around it no casualties were reported.
