Smart Fire Alarm Systems have now been fitted to over 26,000 homes in the UAE, according to the Ministry of Interior (MoI) including 10,800 homes for low- income families.
Hassantuk, the Intelligent Command and Control solution was launched by the UAE Civil Defence in 2018 to monitor and detect fire and smoke alarms in residential apartments and commercial buildings, under the direction of the MoI.
Since the installation of the smart fire detector systems, the civil defence teams have responded to 169 real reports in the homes, and no deaths or injuries were recorded among the residents.
