25 May Casualties reported after Abu Dhabi gas cylinder fire
Abu Dhabi authorities have rushed to extinguish a fire caused by a gas cylinder explosion. Casualties have been confirmed, and the authorities are continuing to support those injured in the incident.
The explosion happened in a restaurant in Al Khalidiya area, according to Abu Dhabi Police. The building was evacuated as a precaution, and the competent teams are still working on the site.
Abu Dhabi police and Civil Defense evacuated residents to safety from six nearby residential buildings. Work is underway to provide temporary housing until the buildings are completely secured.
