Bahrain Civil Defence introduces eServices for building safety and fire protection

The General Directorate of Civil Defence, Bahrain, has announced the launch of a number of e-services through the ‘bahrain.bh’ national portal.

According to Brigadier Ali Muhammad Al Houti, Director-General of Civil Defence, the move is in cooperation with the Information and eGovernment Authority. The services which are available includes obtaining a civil defence certificate on protection and fire prevention. Users will also be able to check status, print issued certificates, verify the validity of issued certificates and check the safety requirements of buildings.

The service is simple to use, users just need to enter the address of the building, specify the type of certificate and ensure there are no previous requests. Applicants need to be the owner or a representative from an approved company, as they will need to enter a licence number of identity card number.

Talking about the launch of the eServices, Al Houti commented: “These electronic services will enhance the safety of units and buildings in line with the standards of the General Directorate of Civil Defence.”
