12 Oct Al-Istiglal fire station opened
The Al-Istiglal fire station, in West Adullah Al-Mubarak, was opened on Sunday by Fire Force Chief Lt Gen Khalid Al-Mikrad. Mikrad was deputising for Foreign Minister and State Minister for Cabinet Affairs Sheikh Ahmad Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah.
The Deputy Chief for Firefighting Sector, Major General Jamal Nasser, was also in attendance at the opening.
The new fire station is the fourth of its kind to be opened this year in new areas and more stations will be opened up soon. This ties in with the Fire Force’s plans to open up new fire stations in areas that are located close by in order to be able to mount quick responses to any reports of emergency incidences. This will lead to better preservation of life and property.
