05 Sep 8 escape fire unharmed
Firefighters from the Ras Al Khaimah Civil Defence department extinguished a fierce fire in an apartment block at Al Nakheel.
Eight people were trapped inside the building but were rescued without needing medical aid.
The cause of the fire was put under investigation but a report suggested it may have been caused either by a faulty air conditioning unit or a stove which overheated.
